I have suffered from Ulcerative Colitis since 2000. I finally began the vegan transition at the start of 2019. Not only has my UC improved, but through a little trial & error I’ve developed my own little vegan solutions to UC flare-ups (such as a simple vegetable broth I make with chopped celery, onions, garlic & garlic oil). I’ve also recently embraced a few vegan meat replacements, such as Loma Linda Big Franks (delicious!!!). I’m convinced that, as long as I stay the course and do right by my body, I’ll eventually be able to free myself from a lifetime of Mesalamine dependence for my UC. Again…thank you so much for sharing your story, and all the best to you and your family.
