I’m going to put it to the test. I used to run 4 miles almost every day 20 years ago. I get my check up next week and if my provider says go, i’m ready to start again gradually.

I live with pain, arthritis pain in the ankles, plantar fasciitis, and due to hyper mobility a lot of the days my joints hurt. I am 40 and probably over weight by about 40-60lbs. How could I possibly start running?
I did try to take up running March 2018 and ran a fun 5km trail race with my then 6 yr old daughter. I trained for 3 months w a walk run program and after that run I have never walked agin the same. My hips hurt, my PF flares up all the time.
I just can’t see it happening for me but would LOVE to as my daughter and husband are such great runners.
Maybe a personal trainer could help me.
