Im a vegetarian and I take a b12 supplement and was looking into adding a vitamin D supplement especially since I live in a state where there isn’t a lot of sunshine. I know there is a vitamin D2 and D3 supplement, usually the D3 isn’t vegetarian, but they have recently came out with a vegetarian D3 option so I was wondering which vitamin D supplement you take and what brand did you decide to go with? Id really appreciate a response, thanks!

That seems like a tough bar to reach as a vegan and have read that the reason the recommendation is so high is that high protein-/meat diets, which most Americans partake in, curb the amount of calcium you can absord. The World Health Organization recommends half that amount (500 mg). Any updated thoughts on calcium intake since this post was written?
